Dear Fellow Engineers,

My heartfelt greetings to all my esteemed members !

It is with immense pride and profound gratitude that I extend my heartfelt thanks to all members of The Institution of Engineers (India) Tamilnadu State Centre on the prestigious occasion of the 40 th Indian Engineering Congress, held at NIT, Durgapur, on 20 th December 2025, during which the Institution of Engineers (India), Tamil Nadu State Centre was honoured with the Best State Centre Award for the year 2024–25.

This remarkable achievement is a collective success, made possible through the dedication, commitment, and active participation of our members. Once again, I offer my sincere thanks to each one of you. I am confident that the proud legacy of IEI, Tamil Nadu State Centre will continue to flourish and attain even greater milestones in the years ahead.

I am delighted to share that the Institution of Engineers (India), Tamil Nadu State Centre celebrated Energy Conservation Week from 13 th to 19 th December 2025. The programme was graced by Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, Auro Bharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. V. S. Sriraja Balaguru, Assistant Executive Engineer, TNPDCL, as the Guest Speaker. The week-long celebration featured various engaging activities such as a Guest Lecture, Drawing Competition, Poster Presentation, Pitch Presentation, and Debate, encouraging awareness and participation across all sections.

Further, I am pleased to inform you that the Founders’ Day was celebrated on 22 nd December 2025 at the IE(I), TNSC Auditorium, Chennai. The event was graced by Dr. J. Daniel Chellappa, Eminent Nuclear Scientist, Chennai, as the Chief Guest, and Er. D. Suresh, popularly known as “Solar Suresh”, a noted Green Enthusiast, as the Guest of Honour.

I also request all current Corporate Members to complete the “Know Your Membership (KYM)” form to help us update and maintain an accurate membership database. Your cooperation is vital for ensuring seamless communication and effective delivery of member benefits.
